Health insurance

 

Sickness insurance is compulsory.

 

If a trainee is not covered by any sickness insurance scheme, he/she will be insured against sickness under the conditions of the JRC agreement with insurance company, which currently provides insurance schemes to the European Commission.

 

Proof of the insurance must be presented to the JRC before initiation of the traineeship. If this is not done, the trainee will automatically insured by the JRC.

 

In addition, all trainees are covered by accident insurance valid in the workplace and outside working hours.
